On 27 July, Alex Hawke, Minister for Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant Services and Multicultural Affairs, has announced that the pharmacists will be added to the Priority Migration Skilled Occupation List (PMSOL).

There are 3 new occupations (with ANZSCO codes) will be in the list
1. Hospital Pharmacist (251511)
2. Retail Pharmacist (251513)
3. Industrial Pharmacist (251512)

To support for the program of vaccines rollout, thousands of community pharmacies across Australia has join the plan. So the Morrison Government has decided to support all pharmacies across the country through skilled migration due to the increasing in COVID-19 vaccine over the upcoming week.

Therefore, with the addition of those three occupations, the PMSOL has 44 occupations in total. And visa application with those occupations in this list will be prioritised to process. Besides, existing skilled migration occupation lists remain active.
