New ACT Critical Skills List updates on 12 January 2022

SOME CHANGES IN THE LISTS
- The following occupations are added to the List:
childcare centre managers
primary and secondary teachers
bakers and pastry chefs
insurance loss adjusters
- The following occupations have been removed from the List
architects and landscape architects
architectural draftspersons
sports development officers
hairdressers
fitters
electricians
The ACT Migration Program reopens to overseas applicants (12 January 2022)
All applicants must meet the eligibility criteria including:
491 applicants must nominate an occupation on the ACT Critical Skills List January 2022. They must have at least three years relevant work experience in their nominated occupation (evidenced by points advice). Applicants are no longer required to provide job advertisements in their nominated occupation. They must still provide an employment statement confirming their employability in Canberra.
190 applicants must have a genuine job offer with a Canberra based large organisation in an occupation on the ACT Critical Skills List January 2022.
